Alfredo Medina is a legislative advisor in the government and regulatory practice group in the Sacramento office. He works on a wide range of issues, including energy, economic development, revenue and taxation, environmental, transportation, health, education and governmental organization.
Prior to joining Manatt, Alfredo served as a Legislative Consultant with Senator Kevin de Leon, Chair of the Appropriations Committee. He also served as a Legislative Aide to Senate Majority Leader Dean Florez and to Senator Denise Ducheny, Chair of the Budget and Fiscal Review Committee until each could no longer serve due to term limits.
As a policy advisor in the Senate, Alfredo worked to advance measures in a number of areas, including economic development, the environment, technology, transportation and energy. He was also responsible for collaborating with the Legislature's Latino Caucus to identify, develop and promote priority legislation and regulations for underserved communities throughout California.
In 2007 Alfredo was selected a Senate Fellow by the prestigious Capital Fellows Program. Prior to becoming a Senate Fellow, he worked with the Latino Issues Forum and the Alliance for Excellent Education on policy initiatives throughout California.
