Bio

Alanna H. Peterson

Alanna Peterson is a Manatt Health manager in the firm’s Washington, D.C., office. She is an experienced health policy analyst with a focus on Medicaid managed care, social determinants of health, health care payment and delivery system transformation, Medicaid policy redesign and innovation, health reform implementation, and other strategic planning.

Alanna plays a key role in developing business strategy recommendations for Manatt’s clients. Her work covers a broad range of areas including payment and delivery system transformation; health care reform implementation; strategic planning services; and Medicaid policy, redesign and innovation.

Prior to joining Manatt, Alanna worked as a senior research assistant at the National Center for Medical-Legal Partnership where her work focused on cross-sector solutions to address the social determinants of the health of low-income and vulnerable populations. Prior to this, she was a program associate at the Kaiser Family Foundation, where she managed State Health Facts and worked on projects related to Medicaid, the uninsured and health reform. She also has experience in patient safety, health policy and advocacy.
