Bio

Adam D. Striar

Adam Striar is a director with Manatt Health, an interdisciplinary policy and business advisory division of Manatt, Phelps & Phillips, LLP. He provides policy analysis, operational, research and project management support to health care stakeholders, including federal and state governments, foundations, and health care providers. During his time at Manatt, he has led a range of analytic engagements focusing on Medicaid financing and enrollment issues. He has also worked extensively on the design and implementation of Medicaid payment and delivery system transformation efforts across a number of states.

Adam joined Manatt from his role as project assistant in the Office of the Dean at the New York University (NYU) Robert F. Wagner Graduate School of Public Service where he conducted research on the influence of tax policy on employer-sponsored health insurance, the Affordable Care Act’s “Cadillac tax” and other health care issues. Before NYU, Adam interned with the Office of Budget at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services and the Office of Health Insurance Programs at the New York State Department of Health where he worked on a variety of Medicaid policy and program design issues. He also held several roles focused on care coordination and electronic data interchange issues with ValueOptions, Inc., a behavioral health managed care plan.
