Burak Ahmed is a Tax attorney in the Firm’s Los Angeles office who focuses his practice on advising public and private companies on a variety of accounting and legal matters. Experienced in the areas of corporate and tax law, Burak prepares transaction documents for diverse types of mergers and acquisitions (M&A), tax-free reorganizations, cross-border transactions, and state and local taxation issues.
Burak provides his clients a unique perspective by incorporating his knowledge of various aspects of international law, including cross-border M&A, U.S. taxation of international transactions, international trade, compliance with the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, and other regulatory issues.
Earlier in his career, Burak litigated business disputes, constitutional claims, insurance coverage and disputes concerning commercial transactions. Prior to joining Manatt, he worked as a corporate and tax attorney and served as a principal attorney at his own firm. He began his career as a fellowship clerk for Chief Judge Linda Ann Wells in Florida’s Third District Court of Appeal.
