Jacob Itzkowitz

Jake Itzkowitz is an associate in the firm’s Los Angeles office. He assists clients in navigating complex legal and public policy issues at the intersection of law, business, and government at the local, state and federal levels. He helps clients navigate the government contracting and procurement process, including competitive bidding, contract negotiation and protest processes. Jake notably assisted a client in securing a competitively bid contract with the city of Los Angeles valued at more than $500 million. His practice also includes lobbying, elections and ethics compliance for companies, individuals, nonprofits and governmental entities.

Previously, Jake was an associate for a large international law firm, where he supported complex litigation matters, including a precedent-setting victory on a securities claim under a rarely interpreted provision of securities law. He has worked actively in several local government, congressional and presidential campaigns, for which he managed logistics and operational support, oversaw voter protection efforts, and coordinated campaign communications.

Before joining Manatt, Jake worked for a California state assemblymember, coordinating media strategy and communications. Prior to law school, Jake also served as chief of staff to a New York City councilmember.
