• Represented a financial services institution for patent and licensing issues that impacted its investment in prefabricated building systems used for affordable housing
• Coordinated the defense of a financial institution in a patent infringement suit relating to an automatic credit card approval system; obtained a summary judgment of noninfringement and was affirmed on appeal to the Federal Circuit, resulting in saving the company from paying significant damages on sales of financial products and services
• Mitigated intellectual property risks and maximized business outcomes by launching a patent portfolio that included a low-energy method of interplanetary travel and changing the inclinations of orbiting satellites used to successfully salvage a multimillion-dollar satellite that was stranded in unusable orbit
• Engaged collaboratively with cross-functional teams to plan, implement and report on the strategic development of a patent portfolio relating to automated dispensing systems that dispense a significant amount of products annually; managed and resolved intellectual property issues that arose from those inventions; enabled the company to be acquired for a considerable amount
