Manatt Health Senior Advisor Tara Straw was quoted in MedPage Today on how the midterm elections may impact health care issues in the U.S. in light of new potential party majorities within Congress.
The article explained that some health care issues may hang in the balance depending on the results of the election, and Straw explained that the most likely scenario would be changes in terms of House or Senate control. However, she noted that there is still opportunity for bi-partisan cooperation in certain areas “depending on parties' willingness to work together – things like behavioral health and telehealth, which are generally popular issues that both sides would like to work on.”
