Law360 covered Manatt’s representation of Humana in a transaction involving the acquisition of Curo, one of the nation’s largest hospice providers. The acquisition was carried out by a joint venture owned by Humana and two private equity firms, and is valued at roughly $1.4 billion. The Manatt team, which served as healthcare regulatory counsel to Humana, was led by partner Robert Belfort and included counsel Adam Finkelstein, partner Randi Seigel and associates Carol Brass and Callie Wells.
Curo Health Services, will be integrated with the Kindred hospice business that is being acquired by the joint venture through a separate transaction.
The transaction, which has also been covered by top publications such as CNBC and The Wall Street Journal, is set to close in the summer.
