Bio

Brandon D. Young

Brandon Young leads the Firm’s government and regulatory practice. Based in the Los Angeles office, he focuses on government contracts, infrastructure and public policy. Brandon has navigated clients through several noteworthy government and regulatory matters in Greater Los Angeles. His practice focuses on representing clients in all phases of public procurement, bid protests and contract disputes, infrastructure, technology, environmental services, transportation and health companies that provide services to or on behalf of government. He regularly assists clients working with a variety of federal, state, and city and county agencies and departments.

Brandon is also engaged in civic matters as a member of various nonprofit boards as well as previously serving as special counsel to the county of Los Angeles’ Blue Ribbon Commission on Homelessness and as an advisor to the city of Los Angeles’ HHH Citizens Oversight Committee. He also helped develop a series of procurement reforms in the city of Los Angeles, which resulted in the establishment of the city’s first chief procurement officer and the creation of operations model to facilitate improvements to municipal contracting.

Prior to law school, Brandon worked for the mayor of Los Angeles’ Office of Intergovernmental Affairs, Rep. Brad Sherman and former Los Angeles City Controller Ron Galperin.
