Rob Fraiman leverages his extensive experience driving health care transformational transactions to provide counseling within the Firm’s national strategic advisory team. The team positions clients for success by helping advance the development and execution of their key strategies and goals. Rob was President of Cain Brothers, a division of KeyBanc Capital Markets, from 2010 until 2023. As an investment banker working with clients across the U.S. health care economy, he has advised C-suite executives, boards and private equity firms in mergers and acquisitions, debt and equity capital raising, joint ventures and strategic growth initiatives.
As CEO of Cain Brothers, Rob oversaw the significant expansion of the firm’s thought leadership initiatives, mergers and acquisitions franchise, and private equity and health care sector coverage. He has worked with clients in many dozens of high-profile transactions, including recapitalizations and M&A of major physician groups, health systems, payers, health tech, life sciences and medical technology companies. His background has involved most major sectors of health care, including extensively working with nonprofit health firms in transactions with for-profit companies and private equity sponsors.
Prior to joining Cain Brothers in 2004, Rob was head of health care investment banking at BMO Capital Markets. He began his career at Bear Stearns in 1985 and helped build that firm’s health care investment banking practice over the next 15 years.
His thought leadership about health care industry opportunities, innovation and challenges has included panels, podcasts, publications and moderating duties, generally in his capacity leading Cain Brothers.
