Manatt Health Partner Cindy Mann is quoted in InsideHealthPolicy on the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) action to quash Medicaid work requirement demonstrations in Arizona and Indiana, continuing the administration’s policy of irrigating out such requirements from the Medicaid program. Mann explained there’s no apparent reason CMS chose Arizona and Indiana’s requirements in particular to revoke. “All states that received preliminary decisions that their programs don’t align with Medicaid objectives are likely to have their work requirements formally revoked,” Mann said. “There’s nothing that’s apparent that would distinguish one from the other.”
