Manatt’s Jack Quinn, a partner in the government and regulatory group, spoke to CNN earlier this week ahead of the release of Robert Mueller’s report on alleged collusion between Russia and President Donald Trump in the 2016 presidential election.
Attorney General William Barr released the report to Congress and the public on April 18, but came under criticism for releasing a four-page summary to Congress rather than the full report.
Quinn said the report could have information that is “problematic” for the Trump administration and Barr could have omitted that information in his initial report.
“It’s very hard to summarize a 400-page report and not leave out some things that are going to be juicy tidbits for your opposition,” Quinn said.
