In its 13th annual Turnaround Awards, The M&A Advisor awarded the Information Technology Deal of the Year to Manatt for the firm’s work on the $60 million acquisition of Tintri by DataDirect Networks. The Turnaround Awards recognize firms and individuals that represent the highest caliber of performance in the distressed investing and reorganization industry. The Manatt team included corporate and finance partner Blase Dillingham, bankruptcy partner Ivan Kallick and venture capital/emerging companies partner Brian Kelly.
The team worked to assist DataDirect Networks with the acquisition of assets from Tintri, Inc., a cloud services company that services several Fortune 100 clients and provides predictive analytics for cloud databases. Dillingham, Kallick and Kelly’s efforts resulted in a seven-figure acquisition that included an auction in bankruptcy and acquisition financing. The deal was approved by the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware on Aug. 29.
