Manatt’s Benjamin Shatz, a partner in the firm’s appellate practice, wrote for the Daily Journal on the California Board of Legal Specialization and potential upcoming changes to the board.
He noted that the board recognizes 11 different legal specialty certifications, including appellate law, and said that the history of the California Board of Legal Specialization must be considered before any upcoming changes are implemented.
“With new changes being implemented, now is a good time to review the history and ponder the possible future of certified specialization,” he wrote.
