Inside Health Policy interviewed Manatt's Joel Ario, a managing director with Manatt Health, for an article on America's Health Insurance Plans' announcement that former CMS Administrator Marilyn Tavenner will be its new president and CEO, starting Aug. 24. Tavenner replaces Karen Ignagni, who left America's Health Insurance Plans in June to lead Emblem Health.
"Marilyn is a talented consensus builder, able to take controversial issues and find a way forward," said Ario. "Could be just what AHIP needs," he added.
