On April 25, 2015, the New York State Joint Commission on Public Ethics released its 2014 annual report highlighting its work for the year. Manatt’s New York State Government practice group has once again earned a spot on the annual report’s list of top 10 lobbyists in the Empire State, moving up in the rankings with regard to both compensation and number of clients. The report also shows that in 2014, a record $226 million was spent on state and local lobbying and a record $194.2 million was spent on compensation for in-house and retained lobbyists across the state.
