Ten Health Care Imperatives for the 2020s: Navigating Through the Surges

In January 2021, Manatt Health described the ten health care imperatives essential for improving our health care system and advancing health equity in the 2020s. Now two years into the decade, we have released our 2022 update, titled Navigating the Surges, to recognize the extraordinary challenge of simultaneously improving the health care system while managing through the pandemic.

In a new webinar based on the update, Manatt Health thought leaders take a fresh look at the ten imperatives through the lens of what we’ve learned through the COVID-19 crisis, including the gains we’ve achieved and the setbacks that have impeded our progress. During the webinar, our panel of subject matter experts will:

  • Examine the status of each imperative two years into the 2020s—and share the priorities for moving forward.
  • Identify which imperatives have made significant progress, which have slowed and which have stopped (or even reversed)—and the steps needed to advance as we emerge from the pandemic.
  • Discuss the tailwinds helping to propel us forward—and the headwinds we need to fight against pushing us back.
  • Share the four major challenges to realizing progress and the actions to overcome them.
