Prenatal vaccines provide important protections for pregnant people and their unborn children. However, less than 25% of pregnant people receive all federally recommended vaccines during their pregnancy, and vaccination rates are even lower for those covered by Medicaid and the Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP).
Join Manatt Health’s live webinar for an overview of current Medicaid and CHIP reimbursement policies for prenatal vaccines, as well as strategies to improve vaccine access and uptake.
Key topics include:
- Research findings from a 50-state survey of Medicaid and CHIP reimbursement policies for prenatal vaccines
- Reimbursement nuances for vaccines administered by physicians, pharmacists, and advanced practice clinicians, as well as for federally qualified health centers (FQHCs)
- Considerations for both fee-for-service and managed care delivery systems
- State and federal policy opportunities to promote access to prenatal vaccines under Medicaid and CHIP
Additional details will be available in in Manatt Health’s forthcoming white paper, which will update and expand upon the research findings in our 2023 paper.
