Brennan in Boston and Director Tracy A. Massel in New York. Massel, who joins from the first health insurance technology platform, will further enhance the Firm’s digital health bench and focus on creating meaningful partnerships between payers and providers.

A former physician, hospital administrator and respected leader of some of the country’s largest health care companies, Brennan has hands-on experience managing clinical and medical affairs, operations and general strategy across prominent industry stakeholders. He joins other national advisors at Manatt, including Dr. Christina Jenkins, Dr. Darrell G. Kirch, Ralph W. Muller, Donna M. O’Brien, Carol Raphael and Dr. Linda Rosenstock, who are notable industry leaders recognized across the country and who provide added benefits for the clients embedded within their areas of focus. Massel works with digital health companies, health systems, payers, and related private equity and venture capital investors to build effective and lasting partnerships to help grow and maintain their businesses. She is skilled at developing and executing strategic and operational planning processes for companies at every phase of their life cycle. She also has experience helping clients understand the implications of policy and regulatory changes and industry trends such as network adequacy, virtual and value-based care, and primary care physician enablement.

Brennan received his M.D. and M.P.H. from Yale Medical School and his J.D. from Yale Law School. He also has an M.S. from Oxford University, where he was a Rhodes Scholar. Massel received her M.B.A. from Harvard Business School and graduated cum laude from Barnard College with a B.A. in economics and archaeology.
