Manatt Health managing director Jonah Frohlich spoke with The New York Times about challenges county public health departments are facing as they rollout their COVID-19 vaccination plans in California. In particular, Frohlich noted that many health departments are working with outdated information systems, leaving them “scrambling to cope” with the monumental tasks they are facing in light of the pandemic. “The same institutions that are trying to manage testing, contact tracing and supports for people are the same people who are managing the distribution of the vaccine,” he said.
