Manatt is pleased to have been selected as this year’s recipient of the Los Angeles Heritage Award, a prestigious honor “bestowed upon individuals or organizations that have made outstanding contributions to the economic and cultural growth of the City of Los Angeles.” Manatt will be one of 29 recipients ever to receive the award, sharing this honor with former LA Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa, the LA Community Redevelopment Agency and former Disney CEO Michael Eisner, among others. Manatt will serve as co-chair and sponsor of the Heritage Awards Gala, which will occur on Oct. 11 at the Millennium Biltmore Hotel Los Angeles.
The award will be presented by the City of Los Angeles and Project Restore, a nonprofit organization dedicated to preserving the city’s cultural and historic spaces and structures. Manatt will be recognized for its dedication to pro bono service in Los Angeles, including work on behalf of refugees and parents seeking to adopt children in foster care. Manatt government partner George Kieffer will accept the award on behalf of the firm.
