Bank Growth and Profitability Conference – West

On June 22-23, 2015, Manatt will cohost a two-day educational event, “Bank Growth and Profitability Conference – West,” focusing on the big-picture business issues in growth and profitability, including regulatory, legal, accounting, and business implications as well as risks associated with growth initiatives. This program is recommended for CEOs, board members, CFOs, general counsel, and other management personnel at financial institutions.

David Gershon will join the panel, “Hot Topics,” which will focus on current changes in accounting rules, legal and regulatory issues, compliance, asset quality, and capital considerations. Participants will be able to advise their banks on pending issues that could affect their banks in the near future.

David Gershon will also join the panel “Strategically Planning for Growth.” Participants will discover practical board and management issues, how to combat those issues at the various stages of growth and gather tips and techniques for advising their banks on impending hurdles associated with growth.

Barrie Van Brackle will present on the topic, “Creative Approaches to Marketing and New Product Development.” Participants in this session will be able to analyze and implement marketing strategies at their own banks.

David Herbst will co-present on the topic “Efficiently Managing People.” This session will cover human resource issues, such as HIPAA, compensation, the Affordable Care Act, and employee performance, all of which can have a great impact on the growth of your bank.

A Manatt partner will moderate the panel, “What Investors Want.” This session will focus on what investors are looking for when making decisions to invest in bank stocks, what makes equity offerings successful, and the market distinctions between offensive and defensive capital.
