Manatt Partners Ileana Hernandez and Barry Landsberg were named to the Daily Journal’s list of 2023 Top Health Care Lawyers.
As leader of the Firm’s Health Care Litigation practice, Hernandez was noted for her work guiding health insurance and managed care organizations through a variety of complex legal disputes, including successfully defending Health Net in a lawsuit brought by a group of substance use treatment providers. Landsberg was recognized for his extensive and successful track record of victories before the California Supreme Court and in the state Courts of Appeal. Discussing his successful defense of Dignity Health in a suit brought by the medical staff of St. Mary Medical Center, Landsberg said faith-based hospital system clients face unique challenges involving educating courts on the constitutional religious freedoms these care providers have.
