Manatt Government and Regulatory Partners Kathleen Brown and George Kieffer were recognized on the Los Angeles Business Journal’s 2023 LA500 list, which honors influential leaders in the Los Angeles area across multiple industries.
Both have been recognized on the LA500 since its inception eight years ago.
Brown’s profile highlighted her practice advising consumer financial services and infrastructure clients and her recognition by Best Lawyers as one of the best administrative and regulatory lawyers in the country. She was also highlighted for her former position as the California state treasurer and a commissioner of the Los Angeles Board of Public Works.
In his profile, Kieffer was recognized for founding the Los Angeles Civil Alliance, co-authoring the Los Angeles City Charter and leading the city’s 9/11 taskforce. He was also acknowledged for his former positions on the University of California Board of Regents and the Los Angeles Area Chamber of Commerce, and for previously leading Manatt’s Government and Regulatory practice.
