Manatt is committed to the training and development of our attorneys and advisors. We believe that it is important for a substantial amount of training to be gained through the conduct of actual client work, be it client billable, pro bono, or shadowing more senior attorneys in negotiations, depositions, hearings or other client-related activities, and performing case work that is not necessarily billed to the client. To demonstrate our commitment, we created an "Investment Account", a client-billable number for Associates and Advisors to record time spent on development, which will include shadowing time, time spent on projects that cannot be billed to clients, as well as time invested in training programs and educational seminars, up to specified caps.
