Belfort, the firm figured prominently in a BNA Health Care Daily article on Accountable Care Organizations (ACOs). The June 30, Manatt-produced webinar, “Accountable Care Organizations: What Leading Health Care Systems Need to Know Now,” included more than 250 healthcare administrators from across the country.
Citing the Manatt webinar, BNA reports that the industry needs to move toward ACOs well before federal regulations are finalized.
“Those who are hanging back to figure out what [the Department of Health and Human Services] does in its final analysis — and then they're going to commit or then they're going to start to organize, are probably going to come to the table much too late,” Higgins advised.
