Jones was featured in the May 19 Scientific American – worldVIEW top story, “A Manufacturing Move.” According to the article, the Mexican government previously required international drug makers that wanted to sell their products in the country to conduct at least part of their manufacturing operation in Mexico. In August 2008, the Mexican government lifted those barriers, and Jones, a former U.S. Ambassador to Mexico and a distinguished international business expert, views this change as positive, creating potential new market opportunities in Mexico.
