Mr. Rose’s practice focuses on business, transaction and tax planning for closely held companies and family businesses.
He is a former Chair of the American Bar Association Tax Section's Committee on S Corporations, was a member of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Task Force that assisted in drafting the 1996 Tax Act, and has testified before the U.S. House of Representatives Ways and Means Committee on tax reform. He has served as adjunct faculty at Golden Gate University Graduate School of Taxation where he has taught corporate taxation, S corporation taxation and other tax courses and is certified as a Tax Specialist by the California State Bar Board of Legal Specialization.
Mr. Rose has lectured on tax subjects nationally and his articles have appeared in numerous professional publications, including The Journal of Business Entities, The Journal of Taxation, The Journal of S Corporation Taxation, The Journal of Corporate Taxation and Business Law News.
He is the author of S Corporations - Tax Advisors' Planning (Research Institute of America) and a contributing author of California Closely Held Corporations - Tax Planning and Practice Guide (Matthew Bender).
