Levy to Speak at Eastern Claims Conference
Manatt partner Margaret Levy will be speaking at the Eastern Claims Conference to be held March 1-3 in New York City. Levy will be a panelist for "Advanced Life Case Investigation: The Forever War." The panel will will present an analysis of the identification, investigation, and resulting safeguards imposed as a result of an organized fraud ring's attack on an insurance company. Insurance agents, paramedical personnel, insureds, and policy owners were all part of the intricate scheme. Panelists will illustrate where the cracks existed in the foundation and what strategies were installed from underwriting to claims and customer service to prevent such opportunities in the future.
